There isn't even any music in the menu screen. The sound is good it has the necessary snowmobile sounds, but music? What music? There is absolutely no music in the races at all, making the gameplay boring after about the third course. It allows for beauty in a limited world of low-poly models. The sky and mountains add a nice touch to this game. Without it, I would have given the graphics a much low score. It is also a major plus to be able to turn on Direct3D so you can smooth out the pixels. The snow that blows towards the camera causes it to feel much more realistic, especially when you go through the mud on the Iowa farm and the snow that blows up has mud in it. The only objects that you can unlock are the Artic Cat Sno-Pro and an ATV. There are no tracks that you can unlock in this game. You can do is continue to race and improve your score. This may sound exciting to some, but sadly, this is pretty much all that this game has to offer. You are allowed to choose from your arsenal of five speedy snowmobiles and select from three difficulty levels.

So check it out for yourself, this is a well made game, overall.Snowmobile racing allows you to race through Yellowstone Park, slide on the ice of a Minnesota lake, jump through the mud of an Iowa farm, and skid around the hairpin turns of the a Maine forest. It feel more like riding a boat, but maybe that is how it is in reality. Anyway, while I never rode a snowmobile, I would think that the behavior of the game's snow machines is not the most realistic out there, but it sure is fun. In terms of snowmobiles there are 5 to choose from, different in power, steering and also differently design wise, but, my advice is, go for the Goat High Mark, one of the snowmobiles the game promotes. I mean, after all it's going to be racing through the snow, so I don't think you'd have too much of a pretension towards more colorful vistas. I don't know why the developers chose to go all American exclusive, but, in truth the tracks are ok. This game here is a nice 3D based such racer, which allows you to race on tracks in Iowa, Maine, Wyoming and a few locations in Minnesota. If you feel like playing a racing game but don't really know what to go for, and feel that an F1 game or a dirt track sim is not what you want to go for, well, a snowmobile racer game might be it.
